- Thanarbaid Health Care Centre 1992, 1993, 1994
Illustrated with photos, this hand-written book describes the clinic's philosophies
and structure. It describes the type of sacrifice made by all staff in order to provide health care to the surrounding villages.
Judy Walter is a nurse who gave 7 years of her life to the clinic. She put this book
together in hopes that others would read about the work done in Thanarbaid.

- Information for Physicians (PDF 234K, 3 pages)
The Thanarbaid Health Care Centre has need for an additional physician. If you are a doctor and are interested in working at Thanarbaid, please read the following description. It outlines the characteristics necessary to work at the clinic.
- Standard Treatment Book, 2000 edition (PDF 260K, 91 pages)
The 75 staff at Thanarbaid use copies of this book as a reference for medicine dosages and disease diagnosis. The original book is 20 years old and hand-written by Dr. Edric Baker, the doctor at Thanarbaid. All staff are from the surrounding villages and almost none have school certificate. Dr. Baker provides all training for the staff. Jason Morgenson, a medical student from the United States, transferred the book to computer. The 2000 edition is found on this website. The book is in a continual state of revision and is in the process of being translated into Bangla.
- Map of the Kailakuri Diabetes and Tuberculosis Subcentre (PDF 26K, 1 page)
The Kailakuri (pronounced KYE-la-koo-ree) Diabetes and Tuberculosis Subcentre is a specialty clinic for diabetes and tuberculosis patients. Diabetic patients stay at the subcentre for a week to learn how to take their insulin, eat a diabetic diet, and monitor their urine sugar. Most patients are illiterate. Staff at the diabetic clinic are diabetics themselves. Insulin is provided for free by the the Diabetes Association of Bangladesh and BIRDEM Hospital (the main diabetic hospital of Bangladesh). Tuberculosis patients come to the tuberculosis clinic each day to receive their medication. If a patient misses a day, staff will go out and seek the patient to find out why they could not come, as is suggested by the WHO DOTS Programme. Staff are trained by the Damien Foundation of Bangladesh.
